“We
started the game face to face and we were losing almost all the duels. We have
moved people to see if we could find energy and inspiration but neither. Even
they have found more imbalances and have made a gap that has already done us a
lot of damage. It was wanting and not being able to. At times it seemed that
we had energy to return to the game but our mistakes always weighed down.
Physical competitions, like rebounding, we weren't winning or competing well
either. There was a moment of inspiration in the third quarter that allowed us
to enter the game but the players who were protagonists at that time had run
out of energy a little and we had to move them. We were good, the bonus was
raised very quickly, Madrid was smart at that time to take advantage of it,
they played smart to win the game and they won it. I am disappointed because we
have not had an adequate collective spirit, we have been wrong to want to bring
it to the individual spirit and as a coach when you lose the collective you are
frustrated and obviously, you feel responsible"
